Wall Climbing, First Week of College and Blogging. PHEW!

aah, meant to blog about this exactly 83 years ago, but things got in the way, bla bla bla. So, story short (as always harharhar) my darling Eddie and I decided to joined this extremetwtup organized by lovely Aini. It was a wall climbing activity, the first time I ever had. Well, I actually had the idea of wall climbing long ago but I had no support from my mum because she said it’s a ‘vulgar’ sports (because of that supporting ‘brief’ that highlights your crotch haha) and Eddie said it’s a tough sports. I wanted to try it anyway.

So, I did. And I managed to conquer 3 walls out of 4. Not bad for a first timer, huh? Thanks to my heavy ass, I didn’t manage to conquer that one wall. but I shall be back to try again! Eddie did well too considering his body weight and according to him, his age. But I beg to differ. 27 is not that old. *denials*

It was really fun and I’d definitely climb again. Much thanks to Aini, it was awesome, girl! I made new friends, which was great but sorry if I was being annoying hahaha.

First week of college!

After the awesome climbing, came the not awaited, dreaded college. We have a 9am to 6pm class and a Friday class which is rare. Based on previous experience, Friday classes were often skipped and ‘forgotten’. hahaha

Architecture History
Thankfully we got a very organized, passionate and fun lecturer. I’m foreseeing a better grade in history this time. If studio doesn’t get in the way like last semester.

Project Management
It is most agonizingly boring to be in the class. and I’m not even exaggerating! The subject is already boring, AND we got a super boring lecturer  who READS FROM A TEXTBOOK AND MADE US READ THE PASSAGES OUT LOUD WTF. To make it worse, it was a lecture theatre hall and the integrated table and chair are not comfortable to sleep on.

Studio. The most exciting  yet stressful subject. I don’t know how this semester’s studio gonna turnout but I hope I’ll do a lot better than last semester. We got a pretty strict lecturer so I hope that’ll make me show some progress every week, unlike last semester where I lost my way and didn’t show my progress. Not sure about our AR tutor tho, hope he’s good.

So much new stuffs going on. The new cafe is like food courts in the mall. They even opened an Apple store with 10% student discount. There’s my favourite ice blended with Passionfruit yogurt ice blended. haha. So much places I can spend my money on. Not good.

Blogging stuffs

So I finally renewed my hosting and domain. It felt refreshing. Haven’t paid for my own hosting for two years now. It’s been almost 2 years since my very first post here (which was deleted of course) and isn’t that just so nostalgic? I used to get a lot of commenters but I lost my readers when I deleted all my entries and turned a new page about blogging.

My posts became more modest, less of those goofy farts stuffs and became a boring adult. In posts of course. In person I’m still the same annoying goofy HA-HA me but slightly grown up I hope. and ever since I announced that I already have a lover, I lost 50% of my readers! hahaha. Ok, I’m just exaggerating the 50% but you get the point.

This time I didn’t ask for any sponsor because I actually remember to set aside the money for the hosting. But if you wish to sponsor me, why not? HAHAH just kidding (you may email me if you want to) no, I’m just kidding.

I hope I can come up with a new theme for this blog very soon. I think I can puke looking at this blog theme. So boring. *yawning like a hippo*

iPad is a great piece of machinery from Apple. It’s been widely used in many sectors for entertainment, business, household and many more.  Based on my readings, iPad apps are commonly used for business people to increase their productivity while on the go. For Artists, Photographers and designers to lug around their portfolios. and, for busy mothers or single parent to cook for the family.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen. Productivity. Portfolio and COOKING. It’s no surprise since food is our major necessity. Everything is about food these days. and yeah, money too. haha

Problem Statement

So, is any of the situations listed below sounds familiar?

  1. Everyone’s asking what to cook – Have you ever been asked by your mom, “nak Masak Apa?” or your dad asking, “Masak Apa tu?” or yourself asking, “Masak Apa malam ni?” The key question here is, what to cook?
  2. Limited ingredients. (oh no!) – Bachelors and newly weds most probably don’t have ready live stock and all the herbs like a normal household since they’re too busy.. uh.. you know.
  3. Super hectic lifestyle – Sometimes, you just want to prepare a snack or a quick meal because you have tonnes of work to do and you don’t really have time to think about what you eat. You just want to slap the kitchen and get a quick meal out of it that probably doesn’t involve mayonnaise and beef pepperoni.
  4. Losing the pounds – The most important thing for dieting is counting calories. Per meal should be around 200-300 calories, beyond these figure, it’ll be tough to lose weight. Similar for athletes and performers, they need to be in shape.
  5. Tight Budget – For those who wishes to spend less or planning to save money.
  6. For Specific occasion – Like cooking a romantic dinner, Hari Raya rendang, Thanks Giving roasts. Surely you’d wanna impress your guests, right?

Reasons I (and you too) should exercise.

I was feeling a lil’ fat today after all that Pizza yesterday and McD for lunch today. So, I decided that it’s time to get back on track before I completely lost myself. It wasn’t really about losing weight, be skinny yada-yada, (omg, surprise, surprise, I know right!) hahaha but it’s more about getting fit, being healthy and feel good about yourself.

I remember back then when I was active hitting the gym, I was a lot happier. I only lost like 2 kg before I stop losing weight cause I’ve already achieved my ideal weight. I turned my fat into muscles, try to balance out the cardio and resistant training. So, I got fitter, and more toned body.

After my membership ended and I didn’t have the moolah to continue, my exercise stopped altogether, unfortunately. It didn’t only affect my eating lifestyle (because I don’t feel I’m doing anything for my health), but it also affected my alertness, and in return, I have a hard time focussing on my studies because I pretty much felt like I was drained most of the time. I also felt down because I know my fitness level wasn’t as good as it was and that kinda upset myself. Kinda like a self-pride thing, as I was an athlete (way) back in school.

With the guilt of taking my health for granted, I started to exercise tonight. I did some cardio warm up and some resistence to start off. Just light exercises but I can see how much my fitness level has deteriorated . I was doing weights and I could hardly lift the 10kg block. Last time, I’d do 20kg block. I also did some pushups, bicep curls and sit ups. Tomorrow, I’ll most likely run on treadmill and some intense stretches for flexibility. Flexibility is great cause it doesnt only help you perform better, but it also helps to burn those fat faster.

So, that said, there are a lot of benefits of exercising, whether you’re trying to improve your sleep cycle, increase your metabolism, relax your mind, and stuffs like that. For those of you who don’t exercise whether you’re ideal or overweight, you should really try it and see the difference. Plus, exercise is also great when you need to take your mind off something, like your work, studies, your girl problem, man problem, or even if your man decided to keep a mustache or obsessed with HTC. oopss hahahaha.
